Join us (Amanda & Lizzie) for a 12.8 mile early mornin' hike 3,648 feet up to Strawberry Peak via the Mountaineer's Route! We will be meeting at the Trader Joe's in the USC Village at 6:00am on Friday, November 5th to drive to the trailhead & start our hike as the sun rises & the rest of Los Angeles sits in morning traffic. Most of the elevation gain on this hike is in the first 4 miles meaning that the first 4 miles are going to be super tough but then we get to hike mostly downhill for the remaining 9 miles. Also, this hike is a loop so we get constant new scenery!! Our best estimate is that the whole loop will take at most 7 hours so we're thinking we'll be back to USC by about 4:00pm at the latest. What to Bring:

- stoke for steep hikes & early sends!!
- day pack (most school backpacks will work)
- 4L OF WATER!
- comfortable athletic clothes
- warm jacket/layers, it will get cooler as we gain elevation!
- comfortable & sturdy hiking shoes
- socks
- hat & sunscreen
- mess kit: bowl/plate, fork/spoon
- a camera if ya wanna!
