Recommended Prior Experience: experience on moderate distance hikes/walking uphill recommended, but not required. however, a good attitude is always required!!!

Do you know duster? Do you know who the smiths even are without Julian Casablanca? I bet you don’t even know Joy Division - Isaac. Get ready to listen to some of the most underground tunes you’ve ever heard if you are lucky enough to get in the Matrix with Isaac and Jesus. We are going to the awesome Escondido Falls to take some awesome photos and enjoy the beach after the hike in the beautiful Malibu beach nearby. It’s gonna be awesome and you will hear all about Isaacs many niche likes and dislikes.s

What to Bring:

  • A good amount of water

  • Sunscreen and other sun protection, e.g. a hat or sunglasses

  • A change of clothes (there will be a spot where you get soaked)

  • Swimsuit

  • Comfortable shoes to hike in (think sneakers, hiking boots, etc.)

  • Comfortable clothes to hike in

  • Trekking poles (if you want)

  • Bug spray or bug net (optional)

  • Some sort of water shoes if you want (like crocs)

  • Beach stuff

  • STOKE <3

TRIP DIFFICULTY RATING SYSTEM

  • Difficulty rating for trips

    • 1: No physical activity.

    • 2: Leisurely walk.

    • 3: 2-5 miles less than 1000 ft of total elevation gain on well maintained trails. About 2-3 hours continuous activity

    • 4: 4-6 miles, about 1000 ft of elevation gain, well maintained trails. About 3 hours of continuous activity.

    • 5: 6-8 miles, about 1500ft of elevation gain on maintained trials. 4-5 hours continuous activity

    • 6: 8-10 miles, about 2000 ft of elevation gain, well maintained trails. 4-6 hours of continuous activity.

    • 7: 10-14 miles, over 2500 ft of elevation gain, variable trail conditions possible. Full day of continuous activity.

    • 8: At high altitude. 12-16 total miles, over 3000 ft of elevation gain, variable trail conditions possible. Full day of continuous activity.

    • 9: Technical skills may be necessary. At high altitude with physical elevation gain. Scrambling over rocks likely involved.
