**MUST BE A SOLID SWIMMER WHO HAS EXPERIENCE SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN, NON-NEGOTIABLE**

Come check out California’s least visited National Park, the Channel Islands! We’re leaving bright and early to catch a boat ride out to Anacapa Island for about an hour and a half each way, stopping for common wildlife viewings of dolphins and whales along the way! We’ll then gear up in lifejackets and helmets, get into kayaks, and paddle ourselves 4-5 miles down the coastline of Anacapa Island: seeing beautiful rock formations, floating over rich kelp forests, and enjoying the company of sea lions, harbor seals, and brown pelicans! A big part of this trip is going inside of various sea caves in our kayaks (exploring spots where very, very, very few fortunate folks have been given the opportunity to go!), which can potentially have you riding on turbulent water. After about 3 hours on the water, we’ll end by kayaking through the iconic Anacapa Arches and meeting back up with our boat on the other side. We’ll dry off, eat some lunch and then cruise back towards Ventura Harbor, leaving to drive back down to LA around 4-5pm depending on conditions.

This trip can be easy or rather challenging depending on ocean conditions which can change by the hour. We will be spending lots of time on the water, going into tight and/or rowdy spaces in certain sea caves, but that’s all part of the fun! There IS always a potential you get flipped out of your kayak depending on your report with Poseidon, but guides will come over and help you back in. If all these things excite you, come along for the trip of a lifetime!
