Join Zara and Isa on a SUPERfluous day trip to Joshua Tree! Get ready for a fun-filled day of hiking, frolicking, bouldering, and scrambling in PEAK superbloom conditions. Our adventure will begin with a gorgeous 2.5 hour drive to Joshua Tree National Park, leaving at 7:30 am and arriving by 10 am. We will go on two glorious hikes, beginning with a 2.5 mile hike on Split Rock trail, exploring the sandy washes, massive boulder formations, and famous Joshua Tree rocks with eye-catching superbloom flowers coating the desert floor. Next, we will take a break eating the classic SCO lunch (ifykyk), with some optional bouldering and scrambling to your heart’s desire. We will then make our way to the “hidden sanctuary” of Joshua Tree, Hidden Valley Trail. On this 1-1.5 mile enclosed valley loop we will see some birds and giant rock formations in this “sunken” desert experience. This is the perfect place for birdwatching with a nice wildflower background! Finally, we will make our way back to the cars with a choice to either visit the magical Cactus Garden amidst more California bloomin, or go into town for a couple hours to thrift and explore! We will have you back and ready for any Saturday night plans around 7:30/8pm!
